The Tampa Bay Basketball Officials Sportsmanship Classic Committee invites your team to participate in the 2026 Sportsmanship Classic on December 12, 2026 at Carrollwood Day School. This is the only basketball event produced, staffed and hosted by volunteer officials. Tampa Bay Basketball Officials seek to promote the theme of sportsmanship in high school athletics. This is an FHSAA sanctioned event.
Event Details
Gift Exchange
Prior to the game and player announcements, teams will line up at opposite end lines and walk to the midcourt line to exchange token gifts of friendship, as in international sportsmanship competitions.
Tickets
There is no entry fee for the Classic. Each team will receive 50 game tickets and is responsible for $250.00 ($5.00 each) in ticket sales, to be presented upon entry to the gym by the Coach. Gate tickets are $7.00 each on the day of the event. We are attempting to avoid game day sales and interactions.
